The Digital Research Academy is taking shape π
In a previous post (May 2023) I shared my idea for a trainer network called the Digital Research Academy (DRA). We want to offer quality training for quality research, from and for the research community. Since this post in May a lot of things have happened and I'd like to share our progress. But first, why should you care? Why should you care?𧩠TRAINERS: You have knowledge and skills you'd like to share as a trainer? We are offering Train-the-Trainer training and you can become a member of our trainer network. We offer you possibilities to train for a fair pay.
π‘ LEARNERS: You want to learn new skills in the areas of Open Science, Data Literacy, or Research Software Engineering? We will soon offer courses for you!
π€ ORGANIZATIONS: You work for an organization that needs trainers providing workshops on digital research skills? We are currently building a network of trusted trainers that you can book through us. You can even become a DRA member and get free training (including Train-the-Trainer training).
What happened so far?Since May a lot of things happened. The most important development is, that the Digital Research Academy is now a group of people (no longer just an idea). PeopleIt's mind-blowing and wonderful how many people have shown interest in becoming part of the Digital Research Academy. Thanks to everyone for your trust and support! π€©π
